Obama’s Syrian Problems

1. He doesn’t understand the issues or the players.
Syria Problem
2. He’s afraid to act [He’s a pussy!].  3. He really doesn’t care….
   4. He can’t blame Bush!  5. He’s afraid of what Putin might do….

He can’t ‘lead from behind’ without allies ready to lead from the front.
He can’t ‘fix’ this problem the way he fixed the elections.  He can’t tweak a massive database of voters or promise the various Syrian factions free health care.

Obama gives speeches, but Syrians don’t speak English, and his teleprompters won’t stop Syrian bloodshed.  There is no fawning compliant ‘mainstream Syrian media’ to help spread, sanctify, and validate his soothing lies.

As a life-long anti-colonialist, Obama is philosophically opposed to sending troops anywhere [ – even on a rescue mission to Benghazi – . He’s a technocrat, – more comfortable sending drones than troops.  But in Syria he has no target list ready.

Red Line BlusterSaying that Assad’s use of poison gas would be a RED LINE – sounded good with a teleprompter protecting  him from reality.  Assad wasn’t frightened by the rhetoric…he’s been using the gas.

Obama’s assembled ‘brain trust’ of female socialist sycophantsJarrett, Rice, Samantha Powers, Avril Haines, even Moosechelle – all know nothing of warfare, chemical weapons, power projection, theater logistics, or the tribal nature of Middle Eastern politics and war.  They understand socialist theories, – not reality.

HIS FOREIGN POLICY FAILURES COMING HOME TO ROOST

Since January 2009 Obama has ‘owned’ the Iraq situation, – that’s 53 months

During that time he should have helped build a robust mobile force of 80,000 well trained Iraqi troops ready to stabilize any Middle East trouble spot.  AND, we should have a robust force there ourselves ready to lead…

BY COMPARISON:  it took JUST 45 months from Pearl Harbor to VJ Day!  We built a military 16 million strong!  And FDR was a Democrat…

But Obama abandoned Iraq!  They have no reaction force – not even one capable of saving themselves from an Iranian invasion.  And we have nothing left in country but a well-defended embassy…

In his haste to be different from Bush, – Obama squandered the priceless opportunity to turn Iraq into a pivot point of American power projection in the Middle East.

Israel – could and should be a strong ally.  They have skin in this game; – but they’ve just spent the last 4 years learning painfully they cannot trust Obama.  Their expertise and their intelligence assets will NOT be shared….

Jordan – King Abdullah Hussein would prefer to be our friend and ally – he is at his core a very decent man.  But he is surrounded by Islamists – and probably sees Obama as one of them.  And he’s already watched Obama cut and run from Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, and Libya, – so why risk trusting him.  Whatever happens in Syria – he’ll have to deal with the refugees, – and he remembers 1971!

Turkey – Obama ~ may ~ have been counting on fellow Muslim – Prime Minister Erdoğan to provide both troops and a logistical base.  But lately Erdoğan is up to his eyeballs in an anti-Islamic rebellion.  He needs to keep his the Turkish Army at home, – just to stay alive.

Hezbollah – these Shiite murderers have come in recent years to pretty much own most of what used to be Southern Lebanon.  For decades they relied on the Assads to be a conduit for Iranian arms.  With Assad looking shaky – they taken matters into their own hands and encroached into Southern Syria – both to keep open their supply lines from Damascus Airport – and to expand into Assad’s power vacuum.

Russian Navy Base

Russian and Iran – the unholy alliance – both are interested in supplying arms to Assad – so his troops can field test them.  Russia has a leased naval base at Tartus – and they will fight to keep it.  Obama cannot make a hostile move without stepping on Russian toes.  And Putin has already told him: “Nyet! Butt OUT!

WASHINGTON POLITICS:

Insiders either know or sense that whatever happened in Benghazi is directly related to a bungled Obama plot to aid some Syrian faction – and do so ‘under the radar’.

Thus the murder of the four Americans has severely singed Obama’s fingers, – and his appetite for further direct involvement.  The smoldering aftermath of the massacre may still bring down his presidency, particularly with leakers and whistle-blowers coming out on a weekly basis.

Republicans – even RiNOs like McCain and Graham, smell blood in the water. They’re urging him to ‘take action – to prevent further Syrian bloodshed’.  That’s kind of a sick joke – there will only be more bloodshed – with or without US involvement.  This is the way of the Middle East.
Assad's Army

Now Obama has Bill Clinton publicly nagging him – goading him – into doing something.  For sure, Clinton is still conscience-stricken by his own inaction during the Rwanda genocide; – but Bubba’s bigger motivation is to make Hillary look presidential when contrasted with the scandal-ridden and  wobbling Obama.

2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Come 2016 American Democrats should remember that Hillary was a willing partner in the disengagement from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Blind Trade
She was a willing co-conspirator in the Benghazi debacle.  She has as much blood on her hands as does Obama, to include the slaughter of the Coptic Christians of Egypt.

I will freely admit that I am not an expert in these matters, but since the moderate Muslims do not seem to care about curbing their crazies, why should we care about the various Muslim crazies killing each other?

    Good question.

The answer is that they NEVER stop with just killing other Muslims,…as in Egypt – they go on to exterminate Christians, Druze, Jews,…everybody…..

It is the Muslim opposition that is also killing their own and especially the Christians. They too are using poison gas. The question is where did this come from? I have always believed that this is part of the WMD stash that Sadam Hussien hid in neighboring Syria. Both sides are using chemical warfare.
This is just a diversion from this scandal plagued cartel.

Moderate Arabs are in rebellion against Assad, but we’re letting them be out-gunned and slaughtered. We allowed the same thing to happen in Basra in 1991. We are encouraging rebellion, but then not following through with real support.

If Assad’s Air Force is targeted, the Syrians will do the rest.

Al-Qaida and other Islamic terror groups are heavily infiltrated with the rebels and we have no interest in the outcome which will be bad no matter who wins…….the best we can do is take in Christian and Jewish refugees and let the Muslims slaughter each other. They are the most ungrateful people on earth and will not appreciate any efforts we may make in their behalf, they don’t assimilate into countries that take them in and 90% of them become welfare deadbeats. In regard to Wally’s comment they won’t be around to kill Christians and Jews if they kill each other off first. Here is an example of their in-gratitude in NYC on a Youtube link that I think all of you will find interesting:

Be it America or the Middle East, there is a silent majority that just wants to live a peaceful lawful life. The problem is we are not giving the support needed to our allies. The stable government in Iraq is a victory for the United States in the heart of the Middle East, a model that should be encouraged for Syria and Iran.

As for immigration, we should encourage professionals to immigrate rather than letting peasants in. Obviously we allow the enemy in.

  7. Walter Knight

Our enemies in the Middle East get the sound-bites and media coverage, but we do have allies:

We really need to stay out of Syria. The “rebels” are aligned with al Queida and hesbalah(pardon my spelling).

  9. Walter Knight

Hezbellah, along with Iran, is aligned with Assad. Hezbellah has even sent fighters to Syria to assist the regime.

Hezbellah relies on Syria for supply from Iran to Lebanon. Now is the perfect time to crush Hezbellah. I’m surprised Israel hasn’t already attacked.

@Walter – then why doesn’t the “silent majority” condemn the acts of terrorism – ever.

You still have not addressed the assimilation and prevalant welfare issues that visit EVERY country that allows Muslims to immigrate in significant numbers…….read “America Alone” and “While Europe Slept” and visit shoebat.com for more info.
