High Flying Love At Just-US Department

A case of ‘When you’ve made it – flaunt it!

From his myspace pageDarryl Foster lists himself as an alumni of George Mason Univ, Saint Leo Univ, and Mumford High in Detroit, and a 10-year USMC veteran.

He says he works for the US Dept of Justice as a Supervisor of Equal Housing Opportunity [salary $100K – $150K]. Hmmm.

Seems Senator Chuck Grasley thinks he’s been misusing his expense account.

Seems that back in 2007 – 2008 Darryl was living the good life – flying to Miami [10 times], Vegas, and the Virgin Islands, renting cars, staying at hotels,  – all on his government-issued credit card. It would seem that romance was the principle purpose of these trips.

The good news is that the Justice Department IG discovered this BS pretty quickly.

The bad news is that under Attorney General Eric Holder – it seems Darryl went unpunished – and is still working for the US Government.

Senator Grassley wants Eric to explain.

More than misuse of a government credit card – the case may involve Darryl’s likely conflict of interest – since his unidentified female friend is president of a company – for which Darryl could approve contracts.

Remember this was happening in the final years of the Bush Administration.

By now Mister Holder has had 2 years and 8 months to clean up this left-over mess. Why hasn’t he?  Too busy suing Arizona and Alabama?

So far the Justice Dept is citing the Privacy Act for not releasing details about what actions have taken place.

But Darryl did receive an award – “Excellence in Legal Support Award” from Justice for his work in equal housing investigations in 2007.

So in addition to covering up voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers and covering up Operation Fast and Furious, Mister Holder is covering up Darryl’s taxpayer-funded love life.

Waterboarding anybody?
