Brockton – The Mob Stayed Home

Posted May 14th, 2011 by Iron Mike

My thanks to all you Patriots who showed up to give testimony and show support for the Secure Communities Program.

And a big Hat Tip to the small but highly professional Massasoit College Police Force.

The large mob of protesters we fully expected didn’t show, just the usual suspects.

Executive Secretary for Public SafetyMary Beth Heffernan and her newly promoted Deputy Dog Curt Wood came for their now familiar dog and pony show. And perhaps thanks to the half-empty hall, the afternoon went off almost without a hitch.

If you were a newcomer you ~ might ~ have believed they were serious about getting public input.  EXCEPT they weren’t taking notes!   The only questions they made any attempt to answer were the anti-program questions.

Finally there was a law enforcement official there – Brocton Police Chief Bill Conlon who testified from the floor of his concerns that ‘the community not see his officers as an extension of ICE‘.

As we’ve seen before – someone has done a good job scaring the immigrant community into believing that battered wives will be deported along with their batterers, and crime witnesses risk being deported if they report what they’ve witnessed.

When I asked Mary Beth and Curt how many MS-13 gang members had been deported from Massachusetts, and how many remained loose in our communities, – all I got was their cold blank stare. They don’t know, and they clearly don’t care.  Mary Beth looked like she’d been through a rough night.

The no-show by the hundreds of expected protesters ~ may ~ mean that they’ve already quietly received assurances from the Governor’s office that he intends to continue his delaying tactics.

But let’s give credit where it’s due. The various TEA Parties – Northborough, Marlborough, Lowell, North Shore – have all stepped up and done the heavy lifting that SHOULD have been done by Jennifer Nassour and the MassGOP.

The Massachusetts ‘RepubliCRATS’ have been absent from this battlefield. They’ve been AWOL.  So have all the Republican Town Committees; – they’ve been sitting at home on their hands.  Ignoring this issue is beyond shameful – because for some people in our state it IS a matter of life or death.

When so-called ‘Republicans’ won’t stand tall for secure borders, secure ports, secure communities, and our Common Defense, – they have no right to call themselves Republican.  Sitting at home today – many of them proved they are nothing more than WIMPS!

I conclude that this afternoon was just another in the series of stalling tactics being used by our Governor to avoid getting the program launched statewide.

In the hopes of gaining future Democrat voters, Deval Patrick and his crew are totally content to leave you and our most vulnerable residents at the mercy of thugs.

Mui Bueno amigo. I announced at the hanging that all of us should be in Brockton. Dave was kind enough to take my suggestions to the floor in correcting the record as the Secretary lambasted everyone on the hig-list. The few not present were dismissed as persons not caring much about the proceedings during which the first threat, defused, would have prohibited them from speaking. However, Dave got through the rhetoric to remind them that those not in attendance were doing the good work, the activism in support of Conservatives, long lost in the state.

The display was priceless and I likened the futility of it all by recalling the woman from Waltham, who bemoaned the loss of her son’s father to deportation. It didn’t seem to matter to the battered woman, who admitted to countless beatings by that man, that her life and her son’s life were at risk. Had he not been a criminal, he would not have been deported. But he was and he beat her senseless.

But she was there to speak out against Sec Comm and I could never imagine such idiocy until I met Paul Ferro.

Sorry. My condolences to Father Mason, who taught us better at St. Thomas. His soul rest in peace, killed during a mission to Columbia in the uprisings that have still not completely vanished at the hands of FARC. The cover story then, was simply he was killed in a car accident. What else do you tell gradeschool children?

Sec Comm is not a done deal by any stretch of the imagination. I fear it in the long term, but can handle that when the time comes. For now, it represents the only hope to quell the invasion that satisfies those with evil in their hearts.

May God have mercy on their souls.
