Where’s Niki Pelosi Tsongas Today?

Posted August 10th, 2010 by Iron Mike

Where’s Niki Pelosi Tsongas?  She’s in Washington DC,  called back into session by bosom buddy Nancy Pelosi – to pass another $26 Billion [$26,000,000,000.oo] “Stimulus” bill – allegedly to “save 160 teacher jobs”.

Are you dumb enough to buy that?  They think you are!

Do the math:
$26 Billion ÷ 160,000 teachers = $162,500 per teacher.

Since when does a teacher cost $162K??

Why is the Federal Government funding teachers in the most corrupt and failing school systems in the nation?

This is like the old days when the Tammany Hall politicians would buy the winos a bottle of cheap wine to go in and vote for them.

This is $26 Billion your GRANDCHILDREN will have to pay back – WITH INTEREST!

Ready for “sticker shock”?

That $26 billion, financed by China buying our 30-year bonds at 5% will cost your kids and grandkids a total of $50,246,504,890.16!!!   Sweet deal, huh? [hat tip to Keith for the math!]

This is ABSOLUTELY NOT about saving teacher jobs!   It is absolutely about buying UNION VOTES for the election in 84 days.  It’s about shoring up a crumbling base of moonbat support for congressmen who have violated their oaths of office – ignored their oaths to uphold our Constitution.  The Pelosi-controlled Congress is spending your grandchildren’s futures to save their seats now.

Will they approve a voucher system for kids in failing schools?  NO!

Will they work on sealing our Southern Border?  NO!

Will they work on beefing up our Border Patrol and INSNO!

Will they work on cleaning up Fannie and FreddieNO!

Will they extend the Bush Tax Cuts so American business can think about expanding and hiring againNO!

I say sweep every damned one of them out!

When I called her office at 11AM, the staffer said she had not released a statement as to how she would vote. What a crock. We know how she will vote. The same way she has always voted, i.e. the way the leadership tells her to vote. The constituents be damned. This 26B is just another slush fund for the public sector unions to buy more votes in November. As Charlie Wrangel talks to himself on the floor of the House, the leadership is twisting arms for the final vote “for the teachers, the children, the police and fire departments”. Can we have just a little violin music, please?

Perhaps if states would cut some of the hack jobs there wouldn’t be an issue with paying the teachers, cops and firefighters. Or, since government workers now make so much more than private sector workers, why not adjust their salaries down to be more in line with the salaries of those of us who pay those salaries? Doesn’t it seem more “fair” for us all to be more equal? Come on, let’s spread some of that wealth around, Barry! And while we are on the subject of education, why in the world is the Federal government so busy with the business of what should be local, or at worst, state issues? Lord help us, how have we strayed so far from our Constitution?
