WHAT Was On That Phone Tom?

Posted July 28th, 2015 by Iron Mike

NFL’s Roger Goodell UPHOLDS 4 game Brady suspension, – cites destroyed cell phone as significant evidence of being ‘uncooperative’.

Does our New England Football Hero have a “Hillary Clinton Email Problem”?   Are we looking at something bigger than air pressure in January footballs?

What did Tom want [or need] to keep private?

Orders to deflate footballs…?

Sensitive financial and investment dealings…?

Illegal betting…?

A ‘special friend’…?

Most New Englanders were willing to give Brady the benefit of the doubt,  since after all,  – the measurement of the offending footballs was hardly done with scientific precision…

But the damned cell phone thing….raises too many questions.

Worst of all, the ‘Media’ will dwell on THIS story and ignore the Iran-Kerry Deal,  – the issue of Sanctuary Cities,  – and any discussion of Hillary’s emails – or Benghazi.

Oh no…..! Say it ain’t so, Tom Terrific. I can handle scumbag politicians lying to and deceiving us. After all, they’ve been doing it for all of our young 239 years. But not you, Tom…. Say it ain’t so…. Giselle, help us out here….

Oops…another thought: Don’t we still have the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments to the Constitution (that’s unreasonable search and seizure, self-incrimination, and trial by jury to those of you in left field…)? Even employees have rights. Let’s see…. Let’s accuse Goodell of being “generally aware” of some silliness within the NFL hierarchy (extorting local governments for tax benefits or lose their teams, for instance…) and see if he’ll give up his cell phone….

All we’ve heard is Goodell’s spin on what happened. Brady is a great football player who seems to be bright, a good father, and an all around decent person. Goodell doesn’t impress me. The same bozos who clamored to replace Brady as the Patriot’s quarterback early last season have now proclaimed his everlasting guilt. Let’s wait and see. I know for sure I wouldn’t surrender a cell phone to the NFL under any circumstances.

Bottom line? This thing’s headed to court. Brady will be exhonorated, the NFL will will look dumb, and, finally, Goodell might get fired for being plain stupid!

I had no idea that the NFL had subpoena powers. How is it that the NFL cannot get from the government or from the provider the texts or whatever and any other organization can?

1.)All QB’s have personal preferences as to FB air pressure. Tom Brady likes the football slightly under inflated while Aaron Rodgers likes the football slightly over inflated. So what?!?!

2.)If the issue was so important then why didn’t the NFL control the footballs in every game before this?!?!

3.)The AFC game was a route. Slightly more air pressure in the footballs would not have changed the outcome.

4.)While the destruction of his cell phone gives the appearance of guilt, all of the evidence against Brady is circumstantial. The NFL has no hard evidence.

5.)The penalty for decreasing the air pressure in a football is the same as Rice got for knocking his wife out in an elevator!!!

I think that Brady and the Pats are being singled out to compensate for the NFL’s/Goodell’s screw ups in the past because everyone but NE loves to hate them.
