Kim was educated in Western schools, so he is not just a peasant. Is he ruthless? Yes. I take solace in knowing whenever he purges his regime, it was old guard communists he killed.
Can President Trump effect change in relations with North Korea by force of sheer personality? Maybe. It will take time. South Korea gave the North more food recently, so they’re still talking. That’s a good thing.
