The Prince Of The Fools

Posted March 23rd, 2010 by Iron Mike

The danger to America is not Barack Obama,  but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency.   It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.  The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama,  who is a mere symptom of what ails us.   Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.  The Republic can survive a Barack Obama.  It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president…

I’ve been spending a lot of time collecting nominating signatures for Sam Meas – to get him on the ballot for a run in the Mass 5th District against Niki Tsongas [America’s stupidest grandmother].  I have encountered basically four kinds of citizens:

Politically aware Moderates and Conservatives – of both parties – who are eager to sign and who understand what a disaster the 2008 election was.  They can’t wait for November.

Lifetime Democrats – uncomfortable with the goings on in Congress, but unwilling to break multi-generational family traditions.  They still believe Republicans are greedy fat cats.  One gent who works printing the Boston Globe was bemoaning the recent pay and benefit cuts his union accepted to keep the paper open.  He has no clue about why so few people buy his newspaper anymore.

Progressive MoonBats – who look at me with utter distain and inanely ask “Don’t you think people should have Health Care?”  Others shake their heads and say “Oh, we love Niki”.  Asked why, – they are speechless and usually walk off in a huff.  One lady was even offended by the word ‘ObamaCare’.  These are the orphaned children of Jimmy Carter – now in their late 50s and 60s.  For them Niki is their new Hillary.  They want government to provide jobs, money, benefits, emotional solace, medical marijuana, a comfortable retirement, and now health care.  Mindless of the dollar and social costs, they will vote for whoever promises to open the spigots wider

Walking Plant Life – who grunt words like “I don’t believe in politics” or “I don’t believe in voting”.  They’re a pathetic lot floating by in ‘blissful ignorance’ – and are far more numerous than I would have believed.  They were the C- students in your high school civics class. A thousand years ago they would have been serfs or slaves.  Today they are slaves to those who are involved and who do vote.  They might as well be cows.

As Paul Ryan says – we have our work cut out for us.
