RIP: Tom Gilroy – Chelmsford Patriot

Posted April 17th, 2016 by Iron Mike

Tom and Ellie GilroyRRB has lost a DEAR FRIEND!  He was our friend,  our ally in the political and social fight to reclaim our country,  and a regular and knowledgeable commenter on RRB.

He’d traveled the world for Raytheon,  and met many key foreign leaders.   He knew stuff that Hillary, Obama and Kerry could never even grasp.  He died Friday night – just hours after posting his last pithy comment.

In a world of sunshine soldiers and fair-weather friends, Tom Gilroy will forever be known as one of the ROCKS of our Young Republic!

This from RRB Founder Jim Ettwein:

Tom was a long-time friend and avid colleague in the pursuit of continued freedom for America. He was tireless in his continued support of all who were part of the cause.

But, above all this, above his love of his country, above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  The light in Tom’s eyes would always brighten whenever the topic of his family came up. Which it always did.

I have stood out holding signs for various candidates and causes in Chelmsford many, many times. No matter the weather,  he always seemed to be out there.

When Mike and I started the RRB many years ago,  Tom was right there,  posting comments and staying in touch with us nearly every day.

I’ll miss you, Tom.  Thank you for the many memories and thoughts you shared with me over the past few years.

Tom Gilroy

Tom, I will miss you as if you’d soldiered with me in Vietnam.

In many ways the work you did here – trying to halt the tide of socialism and statism – was more important,  although far less appreciated by America’s accursed libtards….

We only wish you’d lived to vote this November, and to see a worthy Republican sworn in next January.

Pray for us Tom, and ask God to grant our voters more wisdom than they showed in 2008 and 2012.

Very sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I only knew of him through his comments here – always interesting. Too bad I never had a chance to meet him.

Tom was one of the nicest men I have ever met in politics.
    I miss him already.

    God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
    Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
    relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

    In company with Christ,
    Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

I can’t believe that our dear, wonderful, beautiful Tom won’t be here to help and guide us all through these terrible times. The tears are flowing for our champion in this fight for our country.

He was always going to be there for all of us, our strength as we work to “make our country great again”.

My Dear Ellie, I am so very very sorry for your great loss. G-d bless you and your wonderful family with the strength that you need to go on for one another and for our country.

Dear Tom, please continue to work for all of us, we need your help more than ever now. Rest in peace, we all loved you so much.

    With love,

Jim and Mike: I always felt like Tom was the 3rd principal in the RRB organization, commenting on most all of the posts. I will miss his opinions, they were inspirational to me usually clarifying the local issues. RIP Tom.

To all… We should take Tom’s shining example and let him help guide us in these tumultuous times. Never waver. Never falter.

It is difficult to know what to say, but we all know what he’d say. He’d tell us to go on, with the strength of our convictions, on to victory. For our children and grandchildren.

Saw the news on Facebook last night and was shocked. Last saw Tom at the Presidential candidate forum at Northborough tea party in March, full of spirit. He was a Patriot and will sorely be missed. Thoughts and prayers to his entire family, deepest sympathies.

Regrettably, one less conservative when we need it most. In testimony to Tom Gilroy, commit to recruit or convert two, no, 200 more in his memory….

I will miss you Tom. We had great conversations on whatever topic.

My deepest sympathy to Tom’s family. Also to Iron Mike & Jim; it is so hard to lose a friend. We are diminished.

I was thinking of Tom and the times we spent together on the campaign and other trails.

He will be missed, and never forgotten.

Mr. Gilroy was a man of passion, conviction, and a real American Patriot. My thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.

First Barbara Anderson and now Tom Gilroy. We’re losing our patriots and I’m not seeing the younger folks step-up in the numbers we need them to.

I never met Tom, unfortunately, but from his eloquent posts here on RRB I knew he was a devoted conservative patriot.

RIP, Tom, we will miss you.

    RIP Tom.

I met Tom along with many other patriots in 2012 in our local efforts to get the nation back on track. I didn’t know Tom well, but he was well respected by those who knew him. Terrible news to hear of his passing.
