Reverend Ratliff Crosses The Rubicon

Posted June 6th, 2012 by Iron Mike

In a world filled with hucksters, charlatans, race-baiters, and crooks – men like Obama, Sharpton, Jackson for instance, – it is a relief to find a genuine man of Faith and Principle.

RRB tips our hat to the Reverend Keith A. Ratliff, Sr. – longtime NAACP Leader and Baptist minister from Des Moines, Iowa.

Today he’s had enough of the GLBT movement hijacking the Civil Rights movement.

With simple words and a short statement Reverend Ratliff resigned his NAACP leadership posts.

The Rev has been a longtime and dignified public critic of same-sex marriage laws. His beliefs are thus incompatible with the NAACP’s evolving acceptance of gay marriage laws.

While his position is clearly based on his deep religious convictions, we wonder too if he isn’t also fully aware of the multi-generational destruction of the nuclear Black family caused by generations stuck on the Democratic welfare treadmill. He must be fully aware of the vicious cycle of unmarried teenage girls having babies, chiefly to qualify for welfare checks.

We wonder if he sees this as yet another way to destroy forever the meaning and the value of marriage in the Black community.

Your parishioners are fortunate Reverend – to be led by a man of courage, conviction, and faith.  Our prayers are with you Sir!
