Is Kerry’s Silver Star Next?

Posted July 26th, 2011 by Iron Mike

File this one away under sad, sick, and incredible irony. I take no joy in posting it.
In a highly unusual move the Secretary of the Navy has stripped the Silver Star from former Navy Captain and later DepAsstSecNAV Wade Sanders.
You can’t quite place the name? He was the ‘war hero‘ who introduced John Kerry to the 2004 DNC in Boston, – that same infamous DNC where a certain scrawny Illinois State Senator was the keynote speaker.

I really hate John Ketchup Kerry – who I consider to be a lifelong phony, a gigolo, a liar-under-oath, a tax dodger, and a traitor to our country. He’s also the epitome of the ‘Socialist Ruling Class’.
I am really saddened when soldiers [or sailors] held up to us as heroes are proven over time to be either unworthy – or to have been awarded undeserved medals. I know so many men [and carried their bodies to waiting helicopters] whose valor was never known, or never decorated that when these cases arise – I am at once angered and saddened.

So we were to believe that Swift Boat Commander Wade Sanders was a Vietnam hero – awarded the Silver Star. He would serve for 29 years, reach the rank of Captain [just under Admiral] before retiring and becoming an attorney in California. He ran for Congress once. Later he served as Deputy Secretary of the Navy in the Clinton Administration.
It was Wade who introduced Kerry to the DNC in Boston that hot August in 2004.

It was Wade who led the counter-attack against the Swift Vets for Truth – the group who managed to produce the documents proving Kerry’s lackluster naval service, and that none of his three (3?) Purple Hearts drew any blood.

And it was Wade who was arrested by the FBI in 2007. They found 600 images of child pornography on his three computers.  In Dec 2008 he ‘accepted sole responsibility’, claimed his purpose was ‘research‘, and pleaded guilty.  In 2009 the prosecutor explained to the judge that the images dated from 2003, and there was zero indication of any ‘research’.  Wade got 37 months.

Now SecNAV Ray Mabus has stripped Sanders of his Silver Star. The explanation bodes chilling for Kerry:

…had the subsequently determined facts and evidence surrounding both the incident for which the award was made and the processing of the award itself been known to the Secretary of the Navy in 1992,  those facts would have prevented the award of the Silver Star

I read that as (a). the incident did not happen as reported and (b). Sanders’ actual role was less what got on the paperwork, and (c). ~ somebody ~ hustled the award paperwork up the ladder without full review.

Kerry shouldn’t have to worry ~ too ~ much.  As our Senior Socialist Senator and Distinguished American Gigolo, Kerry still isn’t sitting where he belongs – alongside Sanders in federal prison.

But time will tell.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: With all the cases of teachers being caught with child pornography, why aren’t school boards demanding that all school computers be subjected to unannounced audits EVERY year?

Iron Mike you exceeded my expectations!

  2. Seriously?

What does a naval officer caught with child pornography have to do with John Kerry? Inwould hope Wade would lose his medals, and sent to jail. John leery acted bigger than he was, but who cares?

And I’m not hearing about all these teachers caught with child porno? If Obama passed anything requiring people’s private lives be investigated randomly, I think we all know who will get the “socialist” finger. Just keeping it real, still a fan!

If you’re not hearing about teachers caught with kiddie porn – you’re not paying attention to the news.

Wade Sanders was Kerry’s commanding officer in Vietnam, – would have had to sign his medal recommendations. He also vouched for his ‘heroism’ in 2004 when the Swift Vets were telling the world that Kerry WASN’T a hero. Kerry’s life and career has been built with lie piled upon lie. Sanders was just one part of it – but a recurring part.

Unfit for Command by Jerome R. Corsi and John E. O’Neill tells the story of John Kerry’s heroism. Mr. Corsi a Republican journalist and Mr. O’Neill a Democrat, a lawyer from Texas, who donated $25,000 to the Democratic party, wrote this book.

Mr. O’Neill was the officer who took over the command of Kerry’s boat. The two officers walked the boat and inspected it for damage. Before he would/could take over the responsibility of the boat Mr. O’Neill made sure the boat was safe. After all, this is the boat that Kerry said was fired upon, from both sides of the river by Viet Cong. No bullet holes.

Read the book and learn about Kerry’s wound that received a band aid.

It would be just for Kerry to be stripped of any medals. Thanks for the background IronMike. Keep up the good work. dp
