“I Don’t Worry About The Constitution On This”

Posted April 2nd, 2010 by Iron Mike

Here is a classic case of a US Congressman totally willing to ignore our Constitution because he feels there is some more compellig issue or some higher cause.  I guess he forgot his oath.

Are you surprised to learn he’s from the Illinois 17th District?  Per his House web site he spent 13 years as a former union official in a garment factory, then 24 years as a political hack for former Congressman Lane Evans.  He’s been playing the system for 37 years – his entire adult life,  and been on either a union payroll [union dues] – or your payroll [taxes].

So when a musty old relic like the Constitution gets in his way of doing things “for the people”, – he just goes ahead and forgets his oath.

It’s called expediency – the justification of almost every dictator since the beginnings of history.  Progressives have re-labeled it.  They call it “finding practical solutions to real-world problems”.  They’ve convinced themselves that they really are helping people.  But nibble by nibble they’re shredding our Constitution – and with it our nation.  Come November 2ndwe get to bite back!

Did this fine specimen of a man have his fingers crossed when he took the oath?
