Founded in 1857 (163 years ago) McClatchy Newspapers laid off 4% of their staff a year ago.
Now, they’re filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Part of it is the Internet/Smart-Phone Age,  – people are getting their news delivered electronically, – and choosing from hundreds of sources;  – and part of it is a constant stream of left-wing stories and anti-Trump shit doesn’t sell anymore.
See if your local rag is among their 30 papers:

Since the 1970s (Nixon’s impeachment) – young idealists have gone into Journalism with the clear intention of “changing the world”.

They were so busy reporting skewed stories about politics and society,  – and bashing our proud young Republic,  – that they didn’t notice how the ground was shifting under their feet.

That once-envied job with the Newspaper – has turned into an agonizing wait for the other shoe to drop.

Liberal rags might also learn that blindly printing Democrat talking points leads to libel lawsuits.

    ’bout damned time.

Oh yeah, no sense worrying about filling the vacuum. We’ve been doing a great job without them. Besides, liberals don’t read any more than they never did.
