President and Mrs. Bush presented many a Purple Heart to our Wounded Warriors at Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reed Army Hospital. The fanfare was not about the President, but about the Wounded Warriors who had so valiantly served this, their country. Great entry, IronMike

This man is done with political life. He has no need for a photo op. And this was far from a photo op. It looks like he greeted every single person deplaning and with a big smile, a hug and a thank you. Admittedly, I didn’t see the whole episode, but it appeared that it was just him and Laura,no speeches, just like regular citizens, there to thank the troops for a job well done. This is class Barack Obama would never understand. I have heard stories about how he did this same kind of thing at the military hospitals in D.C. and no one ever knew about it.
