Young Patriot Educates California College

Free Speech:  $50K | Modesto Junior College: $0
Modesto Jr college
Modesto Jr College – which had attempted to confine free speech to a tiny “Free Speech Zone” has now agreed that Free Speech applies everywhere on their campus.

And they just paid their student victim Robert Van Tuinen $50K.

Thank you Robert for the courage to take on this fight!  Robert was simply trying to hand out copies of our US Constitution – on Constitution Day last September when he was stopped by a campus cop. See video below the fold…

Robert Van TuinenFirst the campus cop takes Robert [an Army veteran] off the public square – then refers him to a campus office where he meets your standard Class C government bureaucrat – complete with a binder of campus regulations.

She explains the permissible use of the ‘Free Speech Zone’ – and tells him that ‘somebody else is using it right now’ – explains how he can ‘schedule’ time….

Public pressure and a lawsuit seem to have changed their perspective.

Too bad that it took public pressure and a lawsuit for an American college to come to it’s senses.   But we need to understand that they have become like our public schools – places of liberal indoctrination where the US Constitution is not taught – and is generally unwelcome.

Free Speech…?   Not so much.  The only ‘Free Speech’ they tolerate is speech which agrees with and reinforces their liberal viewpoints.  Robert has a great deal of courage!

I hope Robert Van Tuinen runs for Congress someday.

A Big THANK YOU to F.I.R.E. (Foundation for Individual Rights in Education) is also in order in this case! Send F.I.R.E. a contribution.

We need patriots like Robert here on campuses in Massachusetts.

The rentacop is caught between a rock and a hard spot. I don’t fault him for attempting to obey his orders. The school was at fault.

The irony is that Emperor Obama, ostensibly a constitutional lawyer and professor, routinely ignores the Constitution. It appears he studied it only to find ways it could be circumvented.
