Do not, I repeat – DO NOT expect responsible journalism from MSNBC.  The level of agenda-driven questioning by Dylan Ragitan is both rude and unprofessional.  Watch him explode when his guest – Mark Williams of the TEA Party Express – doesn’t take the bait, and gives him back better answers than he expected. 

Now to understand just how much the left-wing MSM hates the TEA Party, Conservatives, or any American who honors our Constitution and opposes Obama’s socialism,  just do a Google on:  “Mark Williams” + “Tea Party”  and see what pops up, and the names that so-called “respectable” outlets hang on him.

David Letterman has a history of troubles. His ratings were always lower than Johnny Carson and then Jay Leno. For years an obsessed woman stalked his Connecticut home. After his son was born, a Montana painter plotted to kidnap the boy. Now debt-plagued CBS producer Robert “Joe” Halderman tried to blackmail Dave for $2 Million.

It seems that Letterman – always quick to make jokes about other men’s sexual peccadilloes, was quietly making a habit of “dating” young ladies who worked for him – or for CBS. For years Letterman ridiculed Bill Clinton, Elliot Spitzer, Mark Sanford, John Edwards, and Larry Craig. He called Sarah Palin “slutty”,  joking that her daughter had been “knocked up” at a Yankees baseball game.

But faced with blackmail by an insider who had the goods on his own misbehavior, – he went to the police. The blackmailer sits in jail, and Letterman Thursday night attempted to get in front of the story by admitting to his TV audience that he’d slept with staffers.

Suddenly the MSM is all over the story!  It took just hours to surface the names of Letterman sweethearts – Merrill Markoe, Holly Hester, and Stephanie Birkitt. It seems that Letterman was “dating” some of these ladies while he was living with Regina Lasko, who he married this past March, five years after their son Harry was born.

JUST HOURS! That’s right, the “mainstream media” both print and TV, had the names and histories of Dave’s girlfriends within hours.  So how the hell come they couldn’t have investigated the Obamas, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, Rahm and Ezekiel Emanuel, or any of the 38+ Czars?  Double standard?

Why is the MSM doing this story? Letterman is so obviously a cheerleader for progressive / socialist government, such a venomous anti-Bush basher, and such a ruthless and snarky McCain basher, – why would the MSM now toss him under their hypocrisy bus? Do they simply need a salacious sex scandal to sell newsprint and airtime, – or have they been looking in the mirror and seen how far left they’ve been leaning?

This story will have legs.  Now exposed, some of these women may look for a payday of their own. Halderman faces trial,  so Letterman will have to testify in open court. That will be complicated, since Ms. Birkett took up residence with Halderman after Letterman broke off their relationship. A lot of lingerie will be hung out for public viewing, and we can only imagine how Regina will take it.  Squirm David, – squirm!

Is this a turning point for the MSM?  After seeing what Giles and O’Keefe did to ACORN, – and what a blackmailer did to a world-class hypocrite, – could there be some real investigative reporting into the backgrounds of the Obamacrats?   Or am I hoping for too much from elitists who have already sold the honor of the Fourth Estate?
