Socialism Fails Again: Venezuela On The Brink

Posted September 2nd, 2016 by Iron Mike

Fourteen years under the thug Hugo Chavez, and once wealthy Venezuela was on the edge. Then Hugo died, and left the country to his hand-picked lieutenant – Nicholas Maduro, – who has no clue….
Venezuela in ruins
The entire nation has been without basics – food, toilet paper, medicines – for three years.  The breaking point is at hand.

Venezuela on the map

Venezuela is 353,841 square miles (11% of the Lower 48 United States) with 31 million people (more than Texas, less than California),  – many now experiencing grinding Third World poverty for the first time in generations.  It used to be a relatively wealthy country.

What happened?

Hugo Chavez Dictator

Hugo Chavez took over and began kicking out the hated Westerners – the owners and operators of Venezuela’s huge oil industry,  – the wells and the refineries.   For awhile people there regarded him as a folk hero,….for awhile.

Chavez at UN book Noam Chomsky

The locals he put into those jobs had no clue.  Equipment wasn’t maintained and production fell,  – JUST AS the American oil industry began looking at the Bakkan Tar Sands,…

Timing always sucks when you’re a Socialist…..

Hugo had great fun tweaking George W. Bush,  – went to the UN and claimed he could still smell the sulfur – from ‘the Devil’…

Then Chavez got cancer,…and died.

And his successor Nicolas Maduro has no idea about how to fix things….and with Obama in the White House – he knows he won’t get any help,…he’s not Muslim.

Maduro waves to supporters

So this Labor Day Weekend, DemocratsSocialists, and the left-over sobbing Bernie Babes should take a long hard look at what socialism has done in just under 20 years…

Venezuelans take to the streets

.and you folks should ask some basic questions…..

…like – “What exactly is money?  Where does it come from?”

…and “How do you wipe your ass without toilet paper?”

… “What does poison ivy look like?”

… “What do governments do when they run out of money?”

… “What are 31 million people most likely to do – when they have no work, – no money, – no food, – and no toilet paper…?”

… “How long can the police and the army keep they away from the Presidential Palace?”

… “How could the People have avoided all this…?”

Throwing rocks at the Venesuelan police

Where’s the policy/values/people’s solidarity pronouncement from the Kenyan-Muslim-Commie-Pu$$y and John Kerry???

Oh yeah, as for the Kenyan-Muslim-Commie-Pu$$y, I guess it’s difficult to comment when you’re a Commie too, and out snorkeling (snorkeling at the same time 250,000 U.S. citizens are without power due to hurricane Hermine…).

Argentina is another text book case study of how socialism ruined a wealthy country. Every time I see a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker I want to tell the asshole driving the car to google the history of either one of them.

    To coin a phrase…

“Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

My country isn’t what it once was, the socialist penetration in our schools have ruined the thinking and motivation of of these young people, now we have socialists in the govt. no jobs, less of this and that, but I would not live anywhere else, that’s for sure

I was working in Venezuela when Chavez came to power. I got to see how the ugly Chavistas kicked people off their farms where they had resided for generations. The farms were handed over to thugs that supported Chavez. Beware the Marxist, they are the destroyers of nations.

The latest rage in Caracas is to hold up the trucks delivering food to the grocery stores. After months of standing in 2-5km lines for a store to open at 11AM (to save electricity mind you) the people grew tired of arriving at the door to have it slammed in their faces.

It became plain that the communists were the ones standing at the head of the lines and they are buying food with the vouchers they get in lieu of paychecks.

    Been like this since 2014
