Oil $Slick Gather$ On Obama

Posted May 5th, 2010 by Iron Mike

Every would-be world dictator ends up meeting a bit of really bad luck – usually from an unexpected source.  For Xerses in 480 BC it would be 300 Spartans blocking a narrow road.  For Napoleon and later Hitler it would be the Russian Winter.  For Mussolini it would be the “Lion of Judah” – scrawny Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie, who would not surrender, but who would awaken the world to the growing Fascist threat.  For Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov [Lenin] it would be an assassination attempt and in 1924,  a series of strokes.

For our undocumented Narcissist-in-Chief, it is a mangled oil well in the Caribbean, his snail-like reaction, and a trail of BP Campaign cash$$$!

In this video you can see Obama giving a standard by-the-numbers press briefing – while wisecracking about the rain.  He seems barely mindful of the 11 dead oil workers [perfunctory statement] and the incredible disaster about to cover the entire Gulf of Mexico fishing and tourism industries.  He does seem to be already reading into the record a “cover his butt” statement about the response.

Time has a way of wounding all heels.  People had already noticed that while the search for bodies was ongoing, while attempts to extinguish the fire were failing, while the oil slick was growing, Obama was moving around the country giving speeches calling working-class middle Americans and TEA Party supporters “teabaggers”.

Now comes word that his slow response may be linked to the enormous amount of campaign cash [$77,051 ] he collected from BP Oil.

If the ruptured oil wells cannot be capped quickly, this oily mess, the devastated economies of our Gulf Coast and the other Caribbean nations – will all stick on Obama like…like $tink on $hit.  It’s long past time for him to either look or act “presidential”.   He looks exactly like what he is,  a too-slick Chicago “community organizer” – in totally over his head.  This may be the oil-covered albatross around his neck.

BTW,  anybody seen those oil containment booms the USCG is required by law to have on hand in the Gulf – for just such an emergency?
