Our badly failed 39th president – James Earl Carter of Plaines, Georgia often struggles with reality. During his 1976 campaign he claimed to have been a nuclear submarine captain. It wasn’t true. Later he said he’d been attacked by a giant swimming rabbit. Hmmm. During his re-election campaign in 1980 he played the race card – accusing Ronald Reagan of “stirring of hate and the rebirth of code words like states rights”. Thank Gawd Carter lost and we were blessed with eight years of Ronald Reagan and then four of GHW Bush.
Carter took his bitterness and his odd collection of hatreds and prejudices around the world, – seeming to always be hanging around vile characters like Yasser Arafat, – and finding no end of opportunities to say negative things about the USA. He has accepted millions in gifts from radical Saudis, published an anti-Israel book so vile that 14 directors of his presidential library resigned, and now he says that Americans who protest Obama’s socialist maneuvers are racist. He specifically included Congressman Joe Wilson, saying that his outburst was racist.
I’ve watched Jimmy’s act for over 35 years – I lived in Georgia when he was our duffus governor down there. (People who knew him couldn’t believe the Dems ran him for president.) Jimmy is a walking talking – blurting disaster. Be polite, but drop him a quick email and tell him to go quietly into FULL retirement! We’ve heard enough from the man who couldn’t get our hostages back from Iran and who micro-managed the failed rescue disaster called Desert One.
Be nice, but be firm!
