I’m a Union worker, er, voter, er… UPDATE! Stop the presses!

Posted January 17th, 2010 by Jim Ettwein

(Originally posted to wake up union members to realize how they’re being used by their union, I have to amend the entry.  It was revealed this morning that Martha Coakley’s husband’s union is supporting….  SCOTT BROWN!  Yes, it’s a fact.  Too bad even her husband doesn’t have faith in her ability to lead or do the right thing for MA workers.) rr

I don’t have a mind of my own.

I don’t have my own goals and objectives.

I don’t even own my own vote.

I rely on the Union bosses to tell me how to vote.  After all, they know best.  They always look out for me.

It doesn’t offend me that the entire non-union public knows I will do whatever I’m told to do.  Why the press even predicts things based on the “union vote”.

We’ll all fall in line, in lock-step, one notch above lemmings following each other into the sea.

And on Sunday, thank God, PresO is coming to tell me how to vote. I’m really glad of that, ‘cause I’m like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz.  I don’t have a brain. I rely on others to tell me what to do and who to vote for.

But wait, if PresO’s for change, then shouldn’t I vote for Scott Brown?  Wouldn’t a vote for Coakley be just more of the same?  No, I can’t do that.  That would be like making up my own mind. And that’s not allowed.  I think I could get in trouble, just for writing this!

(In the above… you could substitue any voting block that isn’t able to vote for themselves.  Try it with Black, Hispanic, or ____________ )
