The Dems in Virginia have a very dirty candidate for Governor.

I hate ads like this. It’s fear mongering which we see it all the time in Massachusetts. This is a stupid way to campaign against Terry McAuliffe. Campaign against his record.

McAuliffe started his political life serving as finance director Jimmy Carter. That should be enough to scare everyone.

In the 1980s McAuliffe worked as a consultant to Global Crossing and became an investor in the company. McAuliffe sold some of his Global Crossing shares before the stock price plummeted and made an estimated $8 million before the company went sour. Investors lost billions.

In the 1990s he became the Clinton’s most prolific fundraiser and booster.

He ran for Governor of Virginia against Ralph Nader who said ““He threatens, he promises, he cajoles, he jokes, he charms, he intimidates, he really is not someone who should be governor and in possession of the public’s trust”.

In 2000 he became Chairman of the Democratic Committee.

More recently he was Chairman of GreenTech, an electric car company that is under investigation for awarding U.S. visas to foreign investors in American companies.

McAuliffe has a history of using government programs, political connections and access to wealthy investors of both parties to secure big big profits for himself. Don’t bother with fear mongering; peel back the layers and focus on his record. He’s a snake oil salesman pure and simple.

On one level you’re correct Hawk, but there are a LOT of low-information voters in Virginia and the Republicans have just two weeks to turn the tide….

Those low-info voters will never understand your reasons why McAuliffe is a bad choice, because he is a ‘D’, and because he has Hillary campaigning with him…
