Boston Globe CEO Doug Franklin QUITS!

Posted July 18th, 2017 by Iron Mike

I’m going to venture a guess that trying to work at a Left-Wing Propaganda Mill,  – with the owner’s wife constantly “suggesting” editorial slants to stories,  – was enough to make any sane man look for greener pastures.
John Henry (who also owns the Boston Red Sox) bought the failing left-wing rag from the failing NY Times back in October 2013.  There was talk of streamlining the news operation and moving into cheaper real estate.  There was NO TALK of actually becoming a newspaper again….

So recently-hired CEO Doug Franklin announced his immediate return to retired life today, – and did so with a surprising degree of dignity in an email to Globe personnel.

Taking over will be a proven left-wing veteran of Politico – Vinay Mehra, who will be glad to publish all the left-wing anti-Trump venom any of the staff can write.

So watch for another year to go by,…as more and more lights go out.  Who will turn the last one off?

I used to love the Globe. Back when I sold it in front of St. James Church on Federal St. in 7th grade.

I even liked it back 35 years ago, when I distributed it from Gloucester to Salisbury.

They hooked left, and never turned back. Sad.

They have, however, unlimited money. In contrast, New England’s ONLY mass-distributed, non-liberal newspaper – The Boston Broadside – continues to struggle forward, with limited funds, but growing. There is hope.

Thank you Mike. Your posts remain the best on the net!!

I look forward to the day when this New England “landmark” goes the way of “Air America”, the failed lib-TURD talk radio network.
