Acton-Boxborough Young Republicans!

Posted April 7th, 2010 by Iron Mike

 Hello Americans!

This is a day I’ve been waiting a long time for – the first-ever meeting of the Acton Boxborough Young Republicans!   This is very significant in a town which managed to embarrass itself by voting for the ethically flawed Martha Coakley over Scott Brown by 58% [ 5371 / 3896].

The majority of voters here are so wantonly progressive they’ll gladly vote you into a poorhouse by raising your property taxes to beautify a decrepit firetrap or a bike trail.

So the first meeting is today after school.  I’ll let you know how it goes . .

It went great!!!  Sixteen young Republicans / Conservatives were brave enough venture forth and be known for their true beliefs.   A few were bold,  a few a little quiet,  and a few so busy with sports and other commitments they only had time to leave name, rank and serial number before running off.  I was pretty blunt with what to expect and half indicated they are ready now for campaign work.  It will come soon enough.

Next week they’ll draft their interim charter, and begin electing leaders.  These are the young people who want to step up and make a difference,  and I salute them, – and the parents who are raising them.

My daughter would like to join, but couldn’t make it to the meeting today. I’m sure she has a friend or two that would like to join as well. As I’ve told you in the past, I am happy to help in any way I can. Great job in getting this group off the ground!

Iron Mike. I noticed they already have a face book page and are working to spread the word. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=110648795628777. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.

Now that is a change we can believe in.
