“…Just The Sudetenland,…Nothing More!”

Posted March 20th, 2014 by ironmike

Simple Math:  2014 – 1938 = 76 bloody years!
Just the Sudetenland
Ask any young adult under age 50:  “What is the Sudetenland?  What happened there in 1938?”

If they can’t give you an informed answer, – then you’ll understand why they’re shrugging at Obama’s miserable handling of the Ukrainian/Crimean crisis; i.e. why they have no clue that it is a crisis.  You can thank union teachers for their ignorance.

Putin did not want Ukraine/Crimea to turn to the EU. That would bring EU/NATO ships into the port that Russia built. There they could study/observe Russia.

Putin will continue until he surrounds Poland. That seems to be his ultimate goal. After Hitler marched into Poland a few days later Stalin went in, through the back door, to Poland.

I wonder how 0bama will lay the blame on Bush for this.

Much like the Ukranians, the Czechs were given no choice during the negotiations among the Germans, British and French. If they did not turn this land over to the Germans they would have to fight the Germans alone. Little did the British and French realize that they would be fully embroiled in a European land war within less than two years. The similarities with Crimea are startling and for Putin might has made right, and the weakness of the West has been a foreign policy disaster.

Just a little bit of history repeating itself.

Maybe Obama will draw the line at Brighton Beach, NY. There’s a large population of Russians living there who might need protection from Putin. Maybe.

The U.S. involuntarily created socialism/weakness in western Europe by single handedly providing for most of their defense during the cold war, giving them only a minor role and allowing them to create massive social programs with the money that should have been spent on their armed forces. Those programs are now unsustainable and they will learn the hard way that human nature never changes and that history repeats itself.

I suspect any former Soviet republic that shares a border with Mother Russia is at risk. What else would one expect from a KGB colonel? Of course the contrary is what would one expect from a community organizer?
