Absolutely stunning racism
– State Ed Board sets lower standards by race;
- lowest for Black kids.
Their ‘response‘ to No Child Left Behind – leave ALL the Black kids behind?
What will the Teacher Unions have to say? This surely will make their jobs easier. Will they speak out against it – and demand that kids be measured equally?
Or will they gratefully go along with calling one race ‘officially inferior and unable to achieve‘ the same passing scores as Asian and White kids?
Will Obama, Holder, Arne Duncan, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Marc Lamont Hill, Oprah, Colin Powell and Morgan Freeman weigh in or remain silent?

It’s hard to tell from this initial report if the Board is caving in to union pressure, or if this is an attempt to push back at NCLB.
Either way, the message is terribly racist. It essentially assigns Black kids – particularly the poorer ones in the worst schools – to a life of low expectations and low achievement.
WHERE will the Poverty Pimps and the ‘Civil Rights Leaders’ be on this?
WHERE IS THE WHITE OUTRAGE??!?
The 8-member Board consists of the following: Chairman Gary Chartrand, Roberto Martinez, Sally Bradshaw, Dr. A. K. Desai, Barbara S. Feingold, John R. Padget, Kathleen Shanahan, Pam Stewart – Commissioner.
These are all successful and accomplished people. They all should know better.
Even if this was merely a political maneuver – or a bluff – it is in such poor taste they should be forced to resign. Their ‘work’ in reaching this plan is unworthy of their pay, and a disservice to all!
