In Cairo – haul down US Flag – replace it with Muslim flag – on Eleventh Anniversary of 9/11. Un-frikking-believable – State Dept issues apology?!?
Mob allegedly angry over a 9/11 movie produced in US by a group of Coptic Christians who may not represent mainstream Coptic thinking.
Of course the peaceful Muslims react by storming our embassy. Think they needed an excuse? How did they even know about it?
Egyptian army arrives late to restore order. Things sure have changed since Obama spoke here on June 4th 2009!

UPDATE: A similar attack took place in neighboring Benghazi, Libya – where our consulate building was torched and an American was killed.

Many years ago, before 9/11/01, I had a tour of the US Embassy in Cairo. Back at that time it appeared to me, the fortress that was the embassy seemed impenetrable. They may have taken down the flag, but without help
from the inside, bunker busting bombs or something more sophisticated, there is no way that wall could be breeched.
