With his poll ratings and election chances slithering low across the desert sand like a sidewinder, Obama has to pull off a ‘Magic Speech‘ Thursday night to even get a D-minus.
I don’t think it’s in his DNA. I don’t think it will be loaded into his teleprompter.
Forget his delivery; – if the words aren’t in the machine – it is a big clue that the Cartel has begun the process of abandoning him – probably for Hillary.
Of course there are the sure and certain sound bites. He will mention 9/11 – and how the country pulled together. He’ll ask Congress to ‘pull together’.
He’ll take a bow for killing UBL, and our military around the world will cringe once again.
He’ll mention additional troop pullouts from Iraq – and claim a promise kept. He will totally ignore the ugly facts that al Qaeda has adapted, morphed, and spread over the past ten years – and that the killing yesterday in Carson City may well be an act by a domestic terrorist.
He’ll ignore the gathering force of al Qaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah just over the fence in the northern Mexican towns and cities.
If he once again mentions the unit that did it you’ll know that he is deliberately putting a target on their backs – and on their families’ backs.
He’ll mention the Arab Spring – and the near success in Libya. He won’t mention what has happened to Libya’s huge stock of Man-PADs – Russian-made shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles capable of bringing down jet fighters – or jet airliners.
Then he’ll get on to the business at hand – the 14,500,000 Americans out of work – thanks to the policies of his administration.
[Watch Biden ~ our National Village Idiot ~behind him – about this time his medication begins to wear off and he starts grinning foolishly – then nodding off . . . ]
Obama will first invoke the government solution – talking about infrastructure repair jobs – roads and bridges that are ‘shovel ready‘ ~ just waiting for some government money ~ like maybe a HALF-TRILLION?
He will DEMAND that ‘Republicans stop obstructing his every effort‘, and come together with Democrats for ‘the Common Good‘. Then he’ll call them a few names . . .
He will vilify straw men “…I know there are some people out there,…the TEA Party,…who want me to fail…” He will call them more names, like narrow-minded, obstructionists, and self-serving.
He will have a half-baked scheme to put people to work in factories – albeit it ‘green factories‘. He’ll have some kind of 3-year or 5-year tax credit ‘targeted at the middle class‘ – which will allegedly make it attractive for factories and mills to hire extra employees without a tax penalty.
In virtually the next breath he will call for a revamping of the tax codes, ‘so that business big and small will begin to pay their fair share‘.
You’ll hear that theme for the next 14 months. The Cartel believes that if they say it often enough it will become part of the lexicon.
Then will come THE BIG MOMENT!
The Cartel has some scheme which will sound like a clever combination of FDR’s New Deal, JFK’s Man on the Moon, and Al Gore’s Global Warming. As I type I cannot imagine what it is – expect perhaps rebuilding the nation’s power grid.
For the MoonBat Faithful to find it believable, – it must combine green technology, retraining inner-city youth, and energy independence. And of course it must involve a massive federal investment [aka spending borrowed money] overseen by a totally new bureaucracy [aka the Brown Shirts].
And the Price Tag? Obama will say ‘the cost of doing nothing is far far more expensive than the cost of investing in our future‘.
Watch Hillary’s face during the applause line. Watch Maxine Water’s face too. Maxine is a committed socialist who believes that governments can create jobs. She want Obama to spend $1 Trillion on jobs. She has no clue as to where or how – just spend it!
I think this will be the beginning of Obama’s attempt to create that ‘civilian defense corps’ – his own Brown Shirt Corps.
I think he will propose a massive ‘enlistment’ of inner city youth to be trained and supervised by out-of-work [union] construction workers – to rebuild America’s inner-city wastelands into ‘affordable housing’. He will propose that these youth – almost all dropouts – receive a half-day of schooling to accompany a half-day of work, and he’ll sell it as solving many problems with one bold stroke.
Minorities and MoonBats will be thrilled!
Only a few in the audience will recognize it as the beginnings of Obama’s Brown Shirts. And if any dare speak up – they will of course be branded ‘racists‘.
So we need to watch two things – the message, – and the delivery. If either fall short – Obama will be officially a lame duck as he walks back up the aisle.
