A scary story about an innocent girl.
We were gathered under General Draper’s watchful gaze – about three dozen in all – Republicans, TEA Partiers, and assorted Conservative activists. We were awaiting the arrival of Governor Patrick – the star of the evening. This was one of his scheduled ‘listening’ stops.
Breathlessly she ran towards us in the sweltering 90º heat. She had a clipboard and announced herself as working with a local Democrat committee – collecting names and e-mails.
She was so naïve and innocent she hadn’t even noticed our protest signs. None of us are very Democrat-friendly in these times.
So I took the offered clipboard, and began my interrogation. DANGER READERS, the ending here is a tad scary.
First – be assured she is absolutely adorable, sweet, and well-intended. Aren’t they all at that age?
I asked her to look at our posters – and if she knew anything about Governor Patrick. She didn’t. So I determined she is 18, and has just finished her freshman year at college – studying international relations.
[Hmmmm – studying International Relations – in college – at age 18 – at a Deval Patrick event doing political work – and doesn't know anything about the Gov? Hmmm, where HAS she been?]
Suddenly sensing that I was face-to-face with one of the Commonwealth’s deliberately under-educated high school grads, – I asked her the key test question:
“Can you explain the relationship between the 2nd and the 1st Amendment?”
The whirlpool look in her eyes gave it all away. She had been issued into the world by her local high school as a programed Stepford Democrat – with no knowledge base, – just an assortment of slogans and platitudes.
Her school system saw fit to graduate her without knowledge, without facts, without even the curiosity to seek out facts and decide for herself. Multi-generational Democrat without knowledge or analytical tools.
She was struggling to recall what the 2nd Amendment is. She couldn’t.
My buddy Tim R. offered her a copy of the Constitution. You’da thunk he’d just tried to hand her a porn magazine – she was so reluctant to take it.
So I gave her a RRB business card – and asked her to go on the blog – and to research that KEY relationship between the 2nd and the 1st. And I told her she can contact me any time if she doesn’t understand something. Maybe she’ll do that research, – or maybe she’ll just dismiss me as a wacky old man.
We also gave her a quick quiz [and the answers] on the national and state debt. She was duly taken aback to learn her share – and that she’ll have to pay double since only about half of Americans pay taxes. Why hadn’t she been taught about that?

But even Deval’s 2-hour session of pretending to care and lying to voters was not as depressing as realizing that our liberal union-infested schools are turning out hundreds of thousands of kids every year – all just like her – intentionally uneducated.
And of course the liberal colleges are welcoming these useful blank clones with open arms. She has already been enlisted into the liberal movement – with no clue who or what her governor is, – or what our founding documents mean to her today – and in our future.
Young Lady – if you read this – please study that little book Tim gave you. DO feel free to call with questions. As a future voter and future decision-maker, you are too decent a young lady – too nice a person – to be part of the socialist movement now sweeping our country.

Nice work, Mike. I hope she stays in touch and figures out how worthless her education has been to prepare her for life. It’s disappointing that she can work for candidates and be clueless to the issues. Perhaps it’s ok since the candidates are usually clueless themselves. rr

Great story!

I am your newest, biggest fan. I just found you recently. Great job. Suggestion: This adorable girl probably can’t take all this new information in, if for no other reason, than she would have to realize she’s been duped, when the alternative, believing, is far more pleasant. Plus it took me over 4 decades to figure it out, and I’m still just learning)
I was thinking how important it is to reach these college kids with what they don’t know, before 2012. I have one, and he’s all conservative all the way, BUT too busy having a great time in college to concern himself about the world events that could threaten his future. How could we launch a face book campaign that gets ALL these kids, High School and up, to care, NOW.
My idea would be to say things that would resonate now, and get them to spread it to all their friends on FB. It needs your more powerful writing style, but along the lines of:
When your parents were your age, if they were caught drinking, police confiscated their booze, and that was devastating, and then called their parents, and shit hit the fan at home. TODAY you get arrested, a permanent arrest record(even if charges are dismissed) will follow you for life, eliminate you from many potential jobs or careers, you will pay hundreds in fines and court costs, and possibly thousands to an attorney.
When your parents were your age, there were not video cameras all over town, monitored by police, who may or may not be corrupt, and twist or make worse whatever stupid thing you might have done for a prank, and made it a crime, (see above for result).
When your parents were your age, they did not have to go through scanners, (now at airports, but soon to be buses, trains, subways, and more,) that exposed their body as though you had no clothes on, or have strangers grope them in front of everyone, or in private, before they went on a trip to Disney, or to Cancun on spring break.
When your parents were your age, there were no sobriety check points that, no matter what you weren’t doing, you are required to answer a police officer, who may or may not ask you legitimate questions and require you to answer, and may or may not decide to search your car.
Your parents could buy a coke out of a vending machine, eat two glazed donuts from the school cafeteria, and even have french fries with the occasional school lunch. You won’t be allowed any of that, and more, real soon.
Your parents had rights that you have lost or are now losing.
Each and everyday government expands, and takes over more and more of the things that once made America the greatest, most powerful, and wealthiest country on earth. You are about to lose all that. You have lost much already as the above describes. READ the Constitution and know your rights so you become aware of just how much it is being ignored and your rights are eroding. Then get out to vote in 2012 and vote for all those who stand for what will bring this country back to the greatness it once was, BEFORE it’s too late. If you and your friends don’t think this upcoming election is important, please know it will likely be the most important election you can participate in your life. Vote like your life depends on it, because it very well may.
Your thoughts?

Hi Iron Mike,
1st time blog visitor, I met you that the Lynn Independent Tea Party, at Burtuccis’ in Peabody, Wed, July-13, I gave you my old business card. Nice blog site. Great info. You may want to have a link to your protest/info signs, you have a knack to keep them short & to the point. You may have enough signs to make a book, signs of the issue.
Peace Brother,
Keep up the good work,
Thanks,
Jim Morose
