With the Japanese still in full crisis mode following the tsunami, – with many allies in the Middle East engulfed in rioting, – with NATO about to enforce a UN no-fly zone over Libya, – and with our 2011 budget reduced to a series of ‘Continuing Resolutions’, our fearless pResident has taken his family and fled the country.
When since Jimmy Carter and Desert One has there been a more explicit show of utter incompetence and total disregard?
Libyan rebels understand - without big-time Western help – they face near certain slaughter. The mercenary tribesmen Gaddafi has hired from Chad will show no quarter. In all likelihood they will be paid a body count bonus.
The rebels have had some small success – here the recent shoot-down of another Libyan fighter is shown. But they are essentially civilians – unskilled even with basic Soviet weaponry, and with no knowledge of rudimentary tactics.
At this point even an effective no-fly zone may not save them, and they know it. Particularly if NATO and US jets are forbidden to attack ground targets.
So is Obama simply escaping the pressures of White House decision-making, – or does George Soros need more time to double his fortune in oil futures? Were you aware that Soros has a HUGE investment in Brazilian oil drilling? Hmmmm.
But thanks to our carbonphobic pResident, we can’t drill here?
Either way, Obama serves as press and camera bait – pulling the WH press corps [Pavlovian dogs] away from world events and into a week-long photo-op of cute family pictures.
It’s the old magician’s trick of directing your attention to an object and away from the hand that’s doing the trick. Pay attention, and try not to be fooled.
And ask your liberal Obamaphile friends – “Why couldn’t Obama have spent his vacation $$ here in the USA? If he wanted to go to a beach, why not our Gulf Coast? What’s he doing, – spreading our wealth around South America?”

Now IronMike you Know that the folks is Rio need our money *credit voucher* more than we do. Since we have to borrow all our money now, Zero is basically financing his vacations with our credit card. But don’t forget, the local resident thinks he is the World’s Messiah (barf) and has to spread myself around.
Somewhere I read that he felt his family needed a vacation. Must be hard to have an entire staff taking care of your every need. Must get very tiring. Wait .. they also go with him on vacation !! I wonder how many friends and neighbors he will be taking along as well. Have to spread that tax payer money around amongst friends.
Everyone said that President Bush made too many trips to Crawford. Well golly that only cost us the jet fuel, and he actually did some work from home. I think I need to get a bumper sticker for my vehicle “Miss me Yet” but I want an addition to it. Miss me yet – Damn right I do !!

I’m a little late to this thread, but I can tell you why BHO fled to Rio with 51-carloads of family and Cabinet members. Because his advisors knew the first terrible radiation plume from Fukushima Daiichi was soon to pass over Washington. Thus despite the lying words of Obama to the public saying the radiation would not cross the Pacific Ocean. While Americans sucked in radioactive iodine, strontium. Cesium 134 and 137 as well as plutonium, Obama fled with his entourage to South America.
When will a Republican candidate challenge this bought and paid for nuclear advocate? Why did GE pay zero taxes last year on $10 billion in income? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why they backed this man and will do so again. Call him out in the 2012 debates!
